The Richest Street Kid

The Richest Street Kid

Plot; Lia isn't the most fortunate teenager in the city. Living in an old skate park with some of her friends, she has a tough time just trying to find a decent meal to fill her stomach every day. But, starving to death isn't the only problem she and her friends encounter. A gang of street thugs called "The City Rats" often terrorize them and try to take what little they got. Thankfully, Lia, or any of her friends, has never been harmed by the bullies, for they just tend to give in and hand over their goodies. One day, Lia finds herself cornered by some of the members of "The City Rats". Finally, standing up for herself, and her friends, for once, she grabs what she has and makes a run for it. They chase her through seemingly endless alleys for ten minutes. Running out into the city's main streets, Lia doesn't get far before Wham! She gets hit by a black limozine. The "City Rats" scatter. Lia wakes up in the limo's backseat, and this is when she meets Evan Windells, a neurotic rich man with no family and few real friends. Lia surprises Evan by thanking him for nearly killing her, for if he hadn't, the "City Rats" would probably be beating her up that very minute. After a minute, Evan tells the driver to pull over and let's her out. When he asks her of the whereabouts of her family, she surprises him once again by replying, "I don't know. They could never seem to keep track of me for too long." and walking away.  The two soon meet again at a local market, where Lia is currently being accused of stealing a few apples. A bit hesistant at first, Evan helps her out, pulling a few bills from his pocket and telling the clerk that she had dropped them on the way here. Afterwards, he invites the young teen to his house for a bite to eat. This begins the adventures of a spunky, clever teen and a lonely, rich man who acts more childish than he thinks.
